About me

I have a 2:1 degree in Natural Sciences (specialising in Ecology, Biology and Geology) from the University of Cambridge and a PhD in Vertebrate Palaeontology from the University of Bristol. During my PhD I was awarded an ‘Entente Cordiale’ scholarship to further my postgraduate thesis study in a foreign language at University of Poitiers in France where I honed my A-level French skills to a higher level.

I am also a qualified Forest School Leader with many years experience teaching people with a wide range of learning styles in local schools. I am passionate about helping young people to connect with and understand the natural world.

I have been a private tutor since 2016, teaching people of all ages from age 9 to adult. I have helped GCSE and A-level students to understand their subject more deeply, enjoy their learning and improve their grades. My particular skill is in understanding the learning styles of individuals, and tailoring my tuition to match their needs.
